General tips

There are 4 main areas in the Alhambra: the Alcazaba, the Nasrid Palaces, the Partal and the Generalife. The only area with a schedule tour time is the Nasrid Palaces which is indicated on your ticket. If you are late you will not gain entry.

The total duration of the visit is 3 hours approximately. If you need a rest you can do so at the exit of the Nasrid Palaces, next to the Partal and at the exit of the Generalife.

It takes approximately half an hour to visit the Nasrid Palaces. Depending on when your visit is scheduled you can visit the rest of the Alhambra before or after it. Visitors are asked to vacate the monument after closing time.

We advise you to wear comfortable clothes and shoes and sun protection during the very hot and sunny summer days.

Types of tickets for the Alhambra

It is important to check your ticket for the Alhambra before your visit to make sure you know exactly which areas are included in it. There are different types of tickets for the monument. This a summary of the most important ones and we have indicated what is included in each one, no matter where you purchased your ticket:

• Dobla de Oro in Alhambra and Generalife: With this ticket you can access the Alhambra and you will have priority access and discount for the areas authorized to in the Dobla de Oro.
  
  General: Access to the whole of Alhambra, the Bañuelo, Casa Morisca, Dar al-Horra Palace, Casa del Chapiz and Casa de Zafra
  Gardens: The Alhambra (excluding the Nasrid Palaces), the Bañuelo, Casa Morisca, Dar al-Horra Palace, Casa del Chapiz and Casa de Zafra
  Night visit: The Nasrid Palaces at night, the Bañuelo, Casa Morisca, Dar al-Horra Palaces, Casa del Chapiz and Casa de Zafra
• Alhambra
  
  Experts: Guided tour by experts which will help you to understand the monument in its entirety.
  Experiences: Access to the Nasrid Palaces at night and the rest of the Alhambra during the day on consecutive days.
  General: Entry to all of the Alhambra in Granada. Remember that your allocate time for the Nasrid Palaces is shown on your ticket.
  The Gardens, the Generalife and the Alcazaba: Entry to all of the Alhambra except the Nasrid Palaces
  The Generalife at night: Explore the main gardens in the Generalife at night.
  The Nasrid Palaces at night: Recorrido durante la noche a los Palacios Nazaríes dentro de la propia Alhambra.
• The Generalife and show: Night visit to the Generalife and a show 'Lorca y Granada en los Jardines del Generalife'
• A tour of both the Alhambra and Fundación Rodríguez Acosta: Access to the Alhambra and Carmen de la Fundación Rodríguez Acosta
