A few useful pieces of advice for your visit to the Alhambra in Granada.
There are 4 main areas in the Alhambra: the Alcazaba, the Nasrid Palaces, the Partal and the Generalife. The only area with a schedule tour time is the Nasrid Palaces which is indicated on your ticket. If you are late you will not gain entry.
The total duration of the visit is 3 hours approximately. If you need a rest you can do so at the exit of the Nasrid Palaces, next to the Partal and at the exit of the Generalife.
It takes approximately half an hour to visit the Nasrid Palaces. Depending on when your visit is scheduled you can visit the rest of the Alhambra before or after it. Visitors are asked to vacate the monument after closing time.
We advise you to wear comfortable clothes and shoes and sun protection during the very hot and sunny summer days.
