It is named after the myrtles surrounding this quiet pond. This pond is dark and the water is still and it perfectly reflects the sky and the stars.
The Nasrid Palaces
The Mexuar
Justice was administered in this room and it had a small prayer room at the back.
The Generalife
The Court of the Main Canal (Patio de la Acequia)
You can feel the privacy for which this court was originally built. A narrow canal crosses it, and the sound of water helped private conversations from being overheard. The Alhambra can be admired from the viewpoint to the left of the canal.
The Arm Court (Patio de Armas)
Life at the fortress
This is located inside the Alcazaba and it functioned as an arm court. It consisted of small areas where baths and houses of the army officials were to be found. There is also a water deposit and a dungeon.
The Court of the Lions (Patio de los Leones)
Water fountain at the Court of Lions, the Nasrid Palace
This fountain represents the Nasrid architecture at its height. The model is the same as that of Court of the Myrtles' (Palacio de Comares). The court is displayed around the fountain and the open sky.
Palace of Charles V

This palace was designed by Pedro Machuca and it is Roman in style. In the inside we can admire not only its magnificent construction but we can also admire the Fine Arts Museum of Granada and the Museum of the Alhambra.
